Project Execution and Change Management usually overlap in most project timelines to ensure a smooth transition.

Project Execution And Closure

Project Execution involves creating the solution design – from a high-level architecture to granular-level Object classification. In standard SAP projects, the project blueprint helps the functional team divide different processes into Functional specifications. Based on the functional specification, the development team prepare the technical specification, writes code and conducts unit tests. After the development team completes the solution, the functional team completes functional testing before different components are tested together in System Integration Testing and presented to probable end users in User Acceptance Testing. After successful User Acceptance Testing, the solution is made live for real users. Post execution, the team monitors the health of the solution in a production environment during the hypercare phase. It is also important to capture the learnings from the project for collective knowledge growth and ensure continuous improvement.

Change Management

Change management helps the support team and end-user prepare for the transition from AS-IS to TO-BE system. It involves a comprehensive training plan and phase-wise implementation of a change management strategy to ensure a smooth transition without resistance. It covers a review of all documents and processes.
